Avid C|24 - Control Surface for Pro Tools

The C|24 from Digidesign is a mid-sized control surface that provides comprehensive tactile control of Pro Tools H|D and LE software. In addition to performing recording, editing and mixing functions within the Pro Tools software, the console offers sixteen high-quality analog preamps, along with a 5.1 surround monitor section that provide superb sound. It also houses an eight-channel stereo line sub-mixer, which can be routed directly to the integrated monitor section, making it easy to mix signals from outboard instruments and gear.

The control surface features twenty-four channel strips, each with a touch-sensitive, motorized fader and a rotary encoder with an individual LED ring. Dedicated mute, solo and channel-select illuminated buttons assist the user to navigate around the controller, while input, record, EQ, dynamics, insert, send and automation buttons extend the functionality of the C|24. Additional features include Edit commands, windows management controls, plus a Soft Keys section that allows future features to be added as Pro Tools software evolves.

The monitoring section in C|24 has been completely redesigned and improved, providing many features found on Digidesign's ICON integrated console systems. Output metering is available for stereo and surround-sound operation, along with trimmable inputs and outputs, talkback latching and Auto Talkback modes and more. And the built-in talkback microphone and remote talkback and listen-back inputs make it easy to set up two-way communication for any professional music and post-production project.
